The State Agency for the Rehabilitation and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine announced the transfer of three ports in the Odessa region to concession. We are talking about Izmail, Odessa and Black Sea ports. This was reported by the press service of the department.
Three ports in the Odessa region want to transfer to concession
Tenders are to take place in 2024.
So, in the port of Odessa, it is planned to transfer the passenger terminal to the concession. Capacity is estimated at 52.6 million dollars.
According to preliminary data, the concession project provides for the transfer of: a yacht complex with a total area of 15,500 square meters and a capacity of 86 vessels, a maritime gallery with an area of 23,600 square meters and the ability to receive a million passengers a year, open areas of 4,000 square meters of a concert and exhibition hall for 1,000 seats and a total area of 4970 square meters.
In the port of Chornomorsk, it is planned to transfer the first container terminal and ferry complex to concession. The project is estimated at 48-160 million dollars.
At least five large companies are interested in the port. The cost of transferring the port of Izmail has not yet been determined. The design capacity of the port is 8.5 million tons, it is capable of loading up to 23,288 tons per day. The maximum possible number of processed vessels is 6070 units per year. The gross intensity of handling ships with bulk cargo is 5,000 tons per day.
