- authoritative crewings leave the Crimea because of the lack of a Russian license. The Sevastopol crewing "ALPHA NAVIGATION Sevastopol", which has proved itself to be in seamen and competitor circles, was closed, and the majority of seamen not only from Sevastopol and Crimea, but also from Ukraine and Russia, lost their "confidence in the future" regarding their employment.
Many of them for years went on flights through this agent for the hiring of sailors and expected that in the coming years they will not have problems with their work. The fact that one of the leading crewing companies left Sevastopol was told by the regular reader of the Seafarers Journal, who went to crewing to update the data and learned this information.
As they told our interlocutor in Mariupol office «ALPHA NAVIGATION» (where he called to clarify the information on Sevastopol), all Crimean seamen who went on a flight through their crewing can apply to the Kerch office of the company, update their data and declare their desire in the future cooperate with crewing.
The man was explained: "Only the Kerch office of our crewing now works in the Crimea. «ALPHA NAVIGATION» conducts its business in Kerch, following all the laws of the Russian Federation, they have a permitting document for this - a license. " They also added that those Crimean seamen who had already obtained Russian citizenship and / or changed Ukrainian maritime documents for Russian-style documents can work for ships by contacting the Kerch office. And those Ukrainian sailors and Crimeans who cooperated with the Sevastopol office, but did not change the documents, and they have the opportunity to go to the mainland Ukraine, can apply to the Odessa or Mariupol office.
Sevastopol sailor said: "The sailors in the Crimea, and so were in a difficult situation, it is very difficult for us to go into flight. And the care for years of proven companies further upset me and my colleagues. " "It's good if in Kerch we are treated normally, because there are enough of our sailors, they will be offered jobs first of all. But now it takes about six hours to go back and forth to sign the contract, and earlier it was possible to do everything in place, "he added.
The reason why the Sevastopol office closed in «ALPHA NAVIGATION» Odessa, our correspondent has not been reported. In the company they promised that the management of the crewing would necessarily call the journalist of the Seafarers Journal, but after a week there was no call.
In an informal conversation with our interlocutor - a sailor from Sevastopol, representatives of the crewing told that the Sevastopol office did not have a license to operate in Russia.
Recently, sailors and their families, who were registered in the Crimea, are going through hard times. Not only the problems with the departure of the crewing companies and the uncertainty with employment were added to all the complexities of their difficult seaside life, but also the problems with the extension / reissue of maritime documents, visas and passports, as well as the most basic issues for seafarers - is the impossibility of transferring wages to the accounts, which were opened in Crimean banks.
If the shipowner agrees to work with seamen from Sevastopol, then this raises a number of other questions. For example, our editorial staff was approached by sailors and asked to tell the case when representatives of people's self-defense simply tore their civil passports with the Crimean residence permit at the airport of Boryspil. Some sailors were refused a visa. Recently, after the introduction of US sanctions on money transfers to the accounts opened in the banks of the Crimea, financial institutions of the peninsula began to agitate the worried wives and mothers of Crimean sailors. People do not know how to get their sailors' money and where to open an account now.
