Nine more Ukrainian seamen fly from Egypt to Ukraine from Sea Shark, which were previously held by the Egyptian military. This was announced on Twitter by the Deputy Director of the Department - Head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasily Kirilich.

“The day ends with an answer to the question when the remaining 9 Ukrainian Seamen of Sea Shark will return home: departure on May 29. We are working to get similar answers on the affairs of all Ukrainian sailors detained abroad,” said Kirilich.
On May 27, five members of the Sea Shark crew returned to Ukraine.
Earlier, on May 27, five of the 17 members of the crew of the Sea Shark, detained in Egypt for violating the border in December 2018, returned to Ukraine. Four sailors arrived in Odessa, another - in Kherson.
Sea Shark captain Vitaly Nesterenko confirmed that the ship was drifting on the high seas, and went into the territorial waters of Egypt by accident. Shipowner companies were fined, and the seafarers ’passports were seized. The Egyptian military prosecutor’s office demanded that the crew unload the oil carried by the ship in connection with the environmental threat in the event of its leakage into the water area.
