During a meeting of the operational headquarters under the regional administration, it became known that the port of registration of the tanker is in Romania, the shipowner is a British citizen, and the tanker himself has been in neutral waters on the outer roads of the port of Yuzhny since May 2019. Ship documents expired at the end of 2018, so the ship has a “gray” status. The fuel reserves for the operation of the marine diesel generator ran out on November 18, the food reserves for the crew were available until December 1.
