Sailors-border guards of Ukraine and Romania held joint exercises in Izmail

On the basis of the Izmail training and detachment of maritime security of the State Border Service of Ukraine (SBS), joint exercises were held between representatives of the border agencies of Ukraine and Romania. On the Ukrainian side, representatives of the Marine Protection of the State Border Service of Ukraine, from Romanian - representatives of the Coast Guard of the Border Police of Romania participated in these exercises.

Sailors-border guards of both countries during one week listened to the training course on "The technique of individual survival", and also took a direct part in its practical part. These exercises were conducted on the basis of the maritime border training institution and on the basis of the training simulator "New Donbass" of the training center of CJSC "Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company".

Practical classes were held with the students of the course to fight for the survivability of a surface ship (ship), save human life on the water and work out the issues of providing primary medical care. Each of them practically worked out the issues of fighting fire on the ship, learned how to use both individual and collective means of rescue on the water. He also mastered the launching of lifeboats and rafts, the launching of their engines and worked out jumps in the water with rescue equipment.

Such training courses between agencies of countries are not the first time.

This is the last course, which was conducted within the framework of the Cooperation Plan between the Izmail Maritime Defense Training Squad of the State Border Service of Ukraine and the Personnel Training Center for Navigation of the Coast Guard of the Border Police of Romania for 2015-2016. However, cooperation between the educational institutions of both departments does not end. Next year, according to the cooperation plan for 2017, 2 courses are planned to be held both at the Ukrainian and Romanian border educational institutions.
