The crew of the pilot boat "Gard", returning to the water area of the port "Ujniy" of the Odessa region after the delivery of the pilot to the ship, noticed a woman trying to stay afloat near the buoy of the approach channel to the port. This was reported in the press service of the Administration of Seaports of Ukraine.
When approaching the scene of the incident, the sailors discovered a young woman, who had lost her strength because of the strong current, and immediately lifted her aboard.
As it turned out, a resident of Kiev was in the city of Yuzhny on vacation. Confident in her abilities, as she was engaged in swimming, she decided to swim in the open sea. After a while, the woman discovered that the current began to carry her to the water area between the protection malls.
"After an inconclusive struggle with the current, she tried to grab the buoy to rest, but because of the slippery algae that covered the surface of the buoy, these attempts were in vain, and the woman finally lost her strength. If it were not for the timely help, the tragedy would be imminent. The rescued woman, alive and healthy, was returned to the place of rest, "- told in the AMPU.
