The Maritime Administration handed over the forms of the sailor's identity to the diploma and passport departments of the port captains' services. According to the MIU, this was done to "ensure the uninterrupted issuance of the document."
Seafarer's ID blanks are already being handed over to port captains
According to the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, all port captains are already informed on this issue; the forms themselves will be strictly registered.
In total, the Maritime Administration purchased 3,000 forms of seaman's identity cards, which will be distributed between the diploma and passport departments of the captains of the seaports of Odessa, Kherson, Izmail and Mariupol.
A seafarer's identity document is an identity document issued and issued to a person permanently residing in the country and holding any position on board a ship (except for a military ship).
A seaman's identity card gives a person the right to enter and exit Ukraine on a ship of which he is a member of the crew, as well as to move or transfer to another ship both in the ports of Ukraine and in foreign ports.
