The company "OCEAN SHIPMANAGEMENT LTD." was established in 2008 in Athens, Greece, with purpose for managing our new-building vessels received that period, however its principals, managers, and employees have for decades been engaged in traditional ship owning, and as such have earned a reputation of professionalism, competence and excellence of service.

OCEAN SHIPMANAGEMENT LTD. is responsible for managing shipowners' own ships as well as managing third party ships, therefore co-ordinates its global operations with a network of chartering and technical support offices worldwide and specializing in the technical and economic management of dry Cargo and container vessels.

Crew Department is mainly responsible for ensuring that ships are manned with adequate qualified, skilled, certificated and medically fit seafarers in accordance with national and international requirements, as well as in line with the standards company has set up.

Crew Department controls and evaluates the appointed Manning Agent, so as to ensure crew selection process keeps up with the high standards and goes on according to Company’s requirements and policies.

OSM Crew Department’s responsibilities in particular include -but are not limited- tasks like crew changes rotation planning, efficient travel arrangements with minimal costs, crew changes travel formalities, constant communication with Masters on board concerning all crew matters and crew needs, maintaining updated records for all seafarers employed by the Company, consistently evaluates the performance of all seafarers to ensure the above requirement.
