ZIM Venezuela was founded in 2002 as a partnership between ZIM and Taurel & Cia, and now supports operations at all of Venezuela's six main ports: Maracaibo, Guaranao, Puerto Cabello, La Guaira, Guanta, and El Guamache. ZIM also has a main office in Caracas, and a sales representative in Valencia.

ZIM Venezuela handles approximately 1500 full TEUs and 18 calls per month, making ZIM one of the top five lines serving the country.
