Fred. Olsen Ocean Ltd. was incorporated in 1993 and has its registered office in Hamilton, Bermuda. Currently the Company and its subsidiaries have offices in Bermuda, Singapore, Malta, UK, Germany, Denmark and Norway and employ around 750 people. The company is previously known as First Olsen Tankers Ltd. and First Olsen Ltd. The Headquarter is located in Oslo, Norway, in the offices of Fred. Olsen Ocean AS (agent to Owner).

Fred. Olsen Ocean Ltd., is owned by Bonheur ASA and Ganger Rolf ASA (50/50); two companies managed by Fred. Olsen & Co. and controlled by the Fred. Olsen family. The origin of Fred. Olsen & Co., dates back to 1848 when the family first entered the ship owning business. The company has ever since been a pioneer and uniquely been able to combine tradition with innovation. Over the years, companies related to the family have diversified into a variety of activities; from aviation to shipbuilding, oil and gas exploration and production, and latest within renewable energy.
