NWDM is an amalgam of Westminster Dredging Nigeria Limited and Nigerian Dredging and Marine Limited, affiliates of Boskalis Westminster International BV, a Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. company. Prior to this, both merged companies have been incorporated in Nigeria and operating for more than 50 years and have been involved in various construction fields. By the SEC order of 24th January 2000, the two Companies became merged with an operating name of Nigerian Westminster Dredging and Marine Limited effective 29th February 2000. Nigerian Westminster Dredging and Marine Limited is a company incorporated under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and having its registered office at Plot 2, Kwara Street, Osborne Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos. The dredging, civil and pipeline construction works in Nigeria are backed up by an integrated Central Workshop under the Plant Division at our Merogun Operational Base, Warri, Delta State, which ensures repairs and maintenance, and all technical back-ups of all plant and equipment. Our operational base-yard is approximately 100,000 m2, having a jetty size of 220m long and 5m draught. NWDM has been achieving this owing to its enviable reputation, which is maintained by experienced and qualified Nigerian staff complemented by expatriate engineers, managers and specialists. Currently we employ more than 600 Nigerians. With the backup from Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V., both technological and administrative resources are pooled to enhance and maximize productivity and efficiency in our operations, which also enables Nigerian Westminster Dredging and Marine Limited to improve, develop and implement up to date technology and processes which are expected from an all-round and widely acclaimed operator in the Nigerian market.
