Canship Ugland Ltd. is a Canadian Ship Management Company located in St. John’s, Newfoundland. The company started its operations in 1997 when the first oil produced on the Grand Banks was transported ashore. The Company manages four Dynamically Positioned (DP) Shuttle Tankers which load their cargoes at Hibernia, Terra Nova or Whiterose off the Atlantic Coast of Newfoundland. In addition the Company manages two local tugs, three pilot boats in Placentia Bay and one bulk carrier designed for ice operations on the coast of Labrador. The company has approximate 380 Canadian employees onboard the vessels and ashore.
