The commercial sea port Yuzhny plans to build a new terminal for transshipment of coking and energy coal from abroad.
This is stated in the report of the port. According to the Acting. director of the enterprise Vitaly Zhukovsky, in September, Southern will take six vessels with energy and coking coal - over 530 thousand tons.

"All berths and warehouses of the enterprise will be involved in receiving fuel for Ukrainian TPPs and metallurgical plants," he said. director.
Since the beginning of 2017, 294,000 tons of anthracite have already been sent to power engineers and about 1 million tons of coking coal to metallurgists.
"The growth in the number of imported goods forces us to promptly resolve the construction of a new terminal," Zhukovsky said. He added that the project will be implemented jointly with investors.
"Today we are open for discussion and cooperation in the format of public-private partnership. The enterprise will continue to fulfill its strategic function in ensuring the energy independence of Ukraine", Zhukovsky said.
