Dolphin Offshore Shipping Limited (DOSL) formerly known as Procyon Offshore Services Limited is a Company registered under the Indian Companies Act of 1956. DOSL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dolphin Offshore Enterprises (India) Limited (DOEIL), which took over full Ownership and Management of the Company with effect from 1st September 2006. DOEIL, founded in 1979 is a leading company in India providing integrated services to the offshore oil and gas industry including diving and underwater services (air, mixed gas diving and the only Indian company qualified by ONGC for saturation diving), fabrication services, and offshore platform topside electrical, mechanical and installations services. DOEIL originally also provided Marine Operations and Management services, but all such services along with the personnel and vessels that it owned were transferred to DOSL with effect from 01 April 2008. Technically, with the transfer of all assets and personnel, DOSL acquired the experience of DOEIL which had been providing marine management services since 1985.
