Hartmann Logistik GmbH was founded in August 2004 by Dr. Niels Hartmann and started with the purchase of two Second-Hand Multipurpose-Vessels of 4.200 tdw each. In January 2005 Mr. Capt. Bernhard Wichers was following as Managing Director of the company and the focus shifted from conventional shipping and logistics to the offshore-sector. A fact that was reflected by the renaming of the company into Hartmann Offshore.

After extensive market evaluation the company ordered 12 Anchor-Handling-Supply-Tugs at Fincantieri in Italy. This design, based on a Moss 424, has been significally and substantiantly modified to meet our Customers expectations on a broad range of working applications due to the ability to work very economically and safe. In addition to the Offshore Activities Hartmann Offshore has ordered 20 Multipurpose-Vessels of up to 8.000 tdw and is fulfilling the full range of pre-delivery-activities like design, financing and building supervision. The first vessels have already been delivered from shipyards in the Netherlands and China and have successfully been put into service.
